Rhodyjane Meadows

Raised up in the coalfields of Southwest Virginia where she first learned to play piano, folk guitar and dulcimer, Rhodyjane has (among other things) taught school at every level; served as a therapeutic harpist, nursing home activities director, artist-in-residence and cultural interpreter; dispatched trucks; directed choirs; and waited many a table.

She feels greatly blessed to have finally come home to a cottage on "Croonin' Creek" in the Burbank community of Roan Mountain, where she teaches, writes, creates community circles, and mostly just enjoys life.  Rhodyjane aspires to follow the advice of her musical mentor, Briscoe Darling:

"Got time to breathe, got time for music."
